The Electrifier XL4015 DC-DC Buck Converter Module is a step-down power supply for electricians, hobbyists, and makers who need stable, adjustable voltage from a wide range of sources. Built around the XL4015E1 regulator with an LM358 feedback loop, it accepts 4-38V DC input and converts it to a 1.25-36V output set through two onboard multi-turn trim pots — one for constant-voltage regulation and one for constant-current limiting. Two indicator LEDs show the active mode at a glance, so the same board works for regulated bench-supply duty and for battery charging where current must be capped to protect the cell. The module supplies up to 5A and up to 75W of regulated output, with conversion efficiency reaching around 96% at favourable operating points. Because 5A and the full 36V output cannot be drawn at the same time within the 75W envelope, set your target voltage first, then the current limit, and add airflow or a small heatsink for sustained high-current work. A fixed 180 kHz switching frequency keeps the magnetics compact and switching losses low, while a rated -40°C to +85°C operating range suits both outdoor solar builds and enclosed automotive wiring. Connections are made through screw terminals at input and output, and four corner mounting holes allow clean panel or chassis fitting.
