The Electrifier 1200W Boost Converter steps a lower DC source up to a higher, stable voltage, making it a practical building block wherever you need more volts than your supply delivers — running 12-80V equipment from an 8-60V battery, charging packs, driving LED arrays, or feeding a bench setup that needs an adjustable rail. At its core sits a boost (step-up) topology built around a toroidal inductor and a bank of 470µF 100V output capacitors, a layout chosen to handle high current with controlled ripple. Output is shaped by two onboard trimpots: a constant-voltage (CV) adjustment to set the target voltage, and a constant-current (CC) adjustment to cap the delivered current — the same dual control used in chargers and LED drivers. Because this is a step-up converter, the output is always set above the input voltage; it raises voltage rather than lowering it. The module is rated to 1200W and 20A at peak. Real continuous output depends on the gap between input and output voltage and on cooling, so sustained loads should sit below the peak rating, and airflow is recommended past roughly 15A. To support that, a full aluminum heatsink is fitted across the power devices, along with a 50mm fan mounting port and a 12V fan connector for active cooling. Heavy screw terminals handle both input and output wiring, a replaceable blade fuse protects the input line, and indicator LEDs report input and output status at a glance.
